The past week can be described as a total lack of control, complete indulgence and total laziness.
Need to shape up. All the flab I lost a year ago (and more) has come back to haunt me. I've also been eating way too much fast food and meat. Need to stop the meat and limit fast food to once a week.
Yesterday:
Breakfast - slept through
Lunch - carbonara mushroom pasta (homemade)
Dinner - grapes + 2 chappatis and mango pickle + a couple of almonds
Terrible diet huh. No wonder I woke up today with a headache. Need to load up on veggies today.
Today:
Breakfast - egg sandwich and malt drink.
I need to get back on an elliptical. I wish I earned enough to live in a place with a swimming pool and gym. Something to work towards, I suppose? I contemplated swimming in the public pool nearby, but somehow I think I need to work out in a gym first to build up my strength a tone down before I start swimming again. I'll probably get the staff club membership ($60/year) which gives me access to the gym ($50/year) and pool (free!woo!). Will probably go check it out this evening. No point joining if they don't have a good elliptical huh?

Back to work
Had a good long weekend and was lazy to update. Also ate a bunch of unhealthy food which I am not proud of. And a half a box of popcorn for dinner last night while watching Coco before Chanel was not the worst of it. Fast food was had for lunch. It won't be had again for another week.
Today was such:
Breakfast - 1 cup of Milo (not good, but had no milk at home to eat cereal with - must purchase)
Lunch - Biryani rice + Pakoda + Bhindi + Channa ; Drink - Banana milk shake
And for dinner I intend to finish the leftover minestrone soup plus the grapes sitting in the fridge.
Yesterday was hectic - bought cooking supplies. Just need to buy rice, oil and vegetables and then me and R can start cooking!
Exercise - went for a nice long walk on friday night. Went shopping yesterday. Not enough! Will be carrying groceries up stairs today to burn some calories.

Stupidity
Monday:
Evening snack - Oatmeal raisin bar + 1 small square of Lindt chocolate (couldn't resist!)
Dinner (7pm) - MOS veggie burger (I was reeling from hunger,
Yesterday:
Breakfast - cup of oats
Lunch - noodles+egg+2 veggies + lemonade
Tea - Green (1 cup)
Dinner - Potato chips!!! -> what was I thinking??!?!?!
So yesterday I had this terrible terrible headache in the evening from all the number crunching and monitor-staring I was doing at work. My headache was so bad it was affecting my ability to think clearly, since I did the stupidest thing ever and went and watched a MOVIE which temporarily distracted me from the pain, but left me with the most terrible migrane ever at 9pm when I stumbled back home. And I ate a whole packet of chips (which is worse than popcorn, but at least it tasted real good) which was full of MSG and other terrible chemicals not to forget the fact that it is nothing but fried potatoes.
Didn't drink any water. And not a spot of exercise either. No wonder I'm growing sideways and have skin problems.
Today:
Breakfast - (nibbled intermittently between 8:00am and 11am) 4 slices of raisin bread
Brunch - 2 tiny Famous Amos cookies which were left over from one of the Guest meetings +
a thin slice of LN's homemade Kueh Lapis cake. Cannot say no lah!

Dinner - SALAD. And if I eat otherwise, I am going to be very disappointed in myself indeed.
Water - at least 10 mugs by the end of today.

Resurrection
Half a year later and it's high time I revisited this blog. So in my last semester of college, I joined the fitness classes again and took up hip-hop dancing too. Unfortunately I wasn't as dedicated to my diet and fitness routine as I was 4 months earlier, and towards the end of the semester things got rather loose and undisciplined.
That was followed by a summer of total and absolute laziness when it came to exercise, and the stress of job hunting which didn't do me much good.
I sporadically go for walks around my neighbourhood now, but it isn't very regular, and isn't as effective as working out on a cross trainer where I can regulate my pace and not kill my knees running on concrete. I clean the house once in 2 weeks. I've also been eating too much unhealthy, oily food like fried rice and noodles and spring rolls. Sometimes I finish work and get back by 8 and end up eating dinner closer to 9. My tummy is bloated and my ever-trusty thighs are telling me it's time to get healthy again.
So in order to be absolutely honest about what I'm eating and how much I'm exercising, it's back to this blog! Hope to update it every morning or evening, so I'll start with yesterday.
Cereal and museli with coffee for breakfast/lunch. Roasted grams. Minestrone soup for dinner. Managed to safely stay away from the chocolate and tiramisu cake in the fridge! 3/4ths of a big bottle of water.
This morning I've had a cheese and egg sandwich and a cup of coffee. Later!

So much for updating
Yah, I'm a bad bad blogger. But I guess it's alright given my limited readership =p
What's been happening this week in terms of exercise:
Mon- Captain's Ball tournament at NUS. I was the catcher (the crazy person who stands on the chair and whom the 4 other players shoot the ball to) Yeah, it's not easy folks! We won 2 of 3 games in Round 1, qualified to the Winners' Pool (first time evah SMU wasn't playing in Losers' pool!) but subsequently got thrashed by NUS and NTU's best teams. But we won the last one against Republic Polytechnic! And Shivya won an Adidas jersey in the lucky draw. So all-in-all a productive and fun day, ended off with twisty fries at MacDonald's (yah, I love them and don't care how fattening they are so there!)
Tue - Recovery from a full exhausting day in the sun.
Wed - Gym - elliptical
Thurs - Yoga. Twisty aasanas supposedly to squeeze the impurities out of all the internal organs. You can guess how that happens ;) My sides are extremely sore today.
Fri (today whee!) - I'm off for my first Hip-hop dance class =)

Long time no blog
Update: Am now going veggie and haven't had any meat since my return (except eggs of course!)
Haven't exercised regularly in the vacations, but the last 2 days I've been walking a LOT and last week was running around putting up a stageplay.
Yesterday went on a really long 1.5 hour random walk from school to the business district to Chinatown. Ate olive rice and an apple for (late) lunch, subway salad for dinner. This morning I ate a veggie pau and guava and had a breakfast malt drink.
Next week I start my fitness routine again! May try the cardio dance class. Haven't put on weight, am still 62.5kgs, but have lost any muscle I had developed last term hehe! *chides self* Will be updating more often from now!
